Film Test 3: 22-2
1. The idea of a multiverse at first made me think there is no way there are trillions of universes then I started thinking about it more. I began making assumptions that there are probably people like us, or maybe these universes are like a marvel comic where they are different time lines of our lives. This idea of a multiverse makes me strongly believe that there has to be other forms of live out there. If there are trillions of other universes one of them has to be beings like us out there in their own planet searching for answers of life. But like I had said it could also be an alternate timeline of my life. Thinking of my own choices I made, what if in some other universe I didn’t decide to go to college? Where would I be at this time in my life in that universe? Knowing I’m just atoms and material stuff also made me wonder about my life. All those times where I thought I was entitled to something where shattered when I had the realization that I am just atoms and material stuff. It depressing but also humbling, because by knowing this I know I am no better and no worse than anyone. This subject made me realize that everyone is the same.
2. Well at first I thought my life was based on luck and chance so when I heard this theory of Quantum Mechanics I completely agree. Looking at all the bad things that happened to me I always wonder why? Now that I’ve realize this it is clearly all by chance. Then after looking at the bad things that happened to me I thought about the good things that happened to me. Those times that I got lucky, that time where I won my first dance competition, are clearly by chance. It so happened that I got lucky and I made the dance team instead of 10 others. It is also by chance that the judges picked in favor of my team for first place. Everything that happens in my life is and always be by chance.
3. Well by watching the video “Feynman’s Flower” it made me think science has shown why we do things and why events in our lives happen. It makes something as simple as an “eye” look like a beautiful artistic process of light and mirrors. One of my realization of some simple thing was our skin. In my anatomy class I thought “it was just skin that holds our body together.” Then I learned that there are multiple layers and protects our body from diseases. The holes on our skin help keep our body temperature cool. The science of anatomy had made me picture something plain like skin as a complex defense wall in a military base. It also made me appreciate my skin much more because it is doing a lot to protect my body.
