1. If I had to live my life over and over again as given in Nietzsche’s myth of eternal recurrence, I would change my life every time it began again. In more detail, the first thing I would have liked to change is the location of where I grew up. Although I love living in southern California, if the chance was offered, I would like to experience how it is living somewhere different. Another aspect of my life that I would have changed is the career I pursued. I would like to learn as many different careers as I could. Along with my career I would change the locations of where I traveled so that I could have different experiences as the time before.
2. The biggest obstacles I confront in my educational career are the obstacles that life throws at me while I am trying to achieve my academics goals. For example, I did not grow up in a wealthy family, therefore my bills such as my phone bill, car, credit cards, gym membership, and other necessities have to be paid by myself which means that I need to work while also going to school. Working while going to school takes up time, and sometimes part of your focus away from your school work. Other personal obstacles such as my dislike for math also play a part in making school difficult.
3. Since the advent of hyper technology I am most attached and addicted to my phone. I realize this every time I lose or break my phone how attached I am to it. This makes me realize how dependent I am to this device. Without it, I would rarely know what time it is, the route to travel to any destination, or how to communicate with a lot of people. Of course the internet also plays a big part of my addiction to my phone. Having such easy access to any information in the world has made me spoiled to the difficultness of how it used to be to access information. My friends, similar to myself, are also addicted to the internet, their phones, and also their laptops which help all of us do school work. There are many pros to this advance technology such as being more aware of what is happening in the world, easily being able to communicate with anyone of your choice, and the entertainment which it brings along with having such a smart piece of technology. I believe one of the biggest cons of technology is what is known as “social media.” Social media are certain sites and the connection we have to what is relevant or popular in the word during the present. This creates a lot of room for judgment whether it is towards a famous celebrity or a middle school student. Regardless it causes harm to our society and the morals of many people who fall into the peer pressure of what is determined as “cool.”
