Film test #3 22-2
1. The conception of us as human beings living in a multiverse have no meaning or consequence to me whatsoever. How should I feel? Could I change anything if this is to be true? I am still me regardless of where I live. I would not be surprise if there are more than one universe out there. According to scientists, the universe that we live in is billions of years old, may be perhaps there are universes out there that are older and our universe is newer one. Atoms are just tiny building blocks of everything that we know and see. All things a build from atoms with added elements. Our bodies from the beating hearts that pump the blood throughout our bodies to the lungs that takes in oxygen to the livers that produce blood cells, etc. all have atoms mixed with other stuff. It doesn’t matter to me how I was composed. I am happy to be alive, to have all my senses and to experiences of what the world have to offer from the things that I see and touch to the food that I taste and the words that I hear and the emotion that I feel good or bad. It’s great to able to sense and experience all that.
2. I think that everything we do or involve with more often than not is by chance or luck. Sometimes things just happen and we have no control over it. If it’s good then we call it fate or we were at the right time and the right place. If it’s bad then we call bad luck or a freak accident. We tend to make excuses or give reasons for the things that occurring around us especially when things go wrong. Therefore, I think that there are always a good probability that things can happen to us either good or bad. The bottom line is, there are certain things in life just happen and it’s not in our control, like an accident but there are things that’s pretty in our control such as a career choice or who your friends are.
3. This is a pretty weird thing to appreciate, but I appreciate my coffee maker. I love the sound of the coffee percolating in the morning at 6 a.m. and the aroma filled the air telling me to get up and start my day. Something about the scent of the coffee, it just perks me up. I am thankful for the engineer who invented this basic machine that I often take with me everywhere I go. I also appreciate the coffee bean growers. I know that the beans had to go through many process of roasting and prepping before it gets to me. The processing of coffee beans is very scientific due to different temperatures and roasting methods in order to provide different types of coffee such as light, medium, dark, french, espresso, etc. I went on a coffee tour where I learned how coffee were prepared from pods that are green to roasting and became the color that we know. It’s very delicate and time consuming process.
