Film Test Questions 765:
1. If I had to live my life over and over again it would change the whole outlook I have on life. I would try to focus on the good times and not pay so much attention to the bad times. For example I would try not to stress out or stay upset about petty things, or even more serious issues for that matter. I would take my career more serious and put more effort in finding a job I truly love. A job that paid well enough to allow me to travel as I please so I can get a first hand view or experience of all this world has to offer. I would learn to be more appreciative of all the little things in day to day life that most people don't usually take notice to.
2.An obstacle I confront in my educational career is my limited understanding of science and philosophy. Most people think one of two ways; either this world was created by a higher being (religion), or this world was created by science. Although I do understand that a lot of this world is scientifically produced or that most of life is revolved around science, it is hard for me to wrap my finger around the idea that all of this world came together by just chance and science. Growing up I was raised to believe this world was created by God so hearing the philosophical perspective of how this world was created is very interesting and intriguing to me. I can not say that i fully agree with the concept yet, but I am interested and open to learning more about it.
3.The devise I, along with many others, have become most addicted to is the TV. After doing some research I've found that on average Americans spend 4 hours and 51 minutes a day watching TV. But what are we watching? The news, sitcoms, reality shows, or maybe cartoons? At the end of the day, all what see is whats displayed on the screen for us. Everything displayed on the screen is being controlled, much like how the video "Surfing the User Interface" explains how a phone is being controlled. It's fascinating how TV can make us feel emotions. For instance a funny movie will make us laugh or a sad movie can make us cry. TV can be entertaining, it helps us pass leisure time, and is even sometimes informational. On the other hand I think TV can be a waste of time and can even make people lazy. Everything showed on TV is made to be entertaining enough to keep you watching and prevents you from walking away and living your life instead of watching someone else's.
